There are a lot of small bluetooth wireless headsets on the market today, but perhaps the world’s smallest bluetooth headset is the Motorola H17. Measuring in at a mere 1.65 inches long and jam-packed with features, the H17 is definitely a quality piece of equipment.
Motorola has always been at the forefront of producing miniature bluetooth headsets. Before the H17, the H12 and the H15 were very popular and very small.
The Motorola H17 has a completely new design. One of its nicest features is that it cleverly conceals the mic within the headset until you want to use it. To use the mic you just need to flip it out. The act of flipping it out in this way turns the unit on as well. Flipping it back switches the unit off. Simple and convenient!
In terms of audio quality, the H17 is excellent. It features Motorola’s groundbreaking CrystalTalk dual mic technology which both cancels unwanted noise and enhances the sound to give you a crisp, clear listening experience.
In use, the H17 works like a dream. The controls, which you might expect to be somewhat fiddly on a unit of this size, are really easy to work and are not fiddly at all. It also supports the usual features you would expect from a quality phone product such as transferring calls between phone and headset, voice dialing, call reject, call holding and waiting, last number redial, and microphone mute function to name a few.
Another bit of technology Motorola have incorporated into this headset is RapidConnect which enables the headset to immediately pair with the last phone it was connected to.
The list price of the Motorola H17 headset is around $79.99 but if you shop around you should be able to find several good deals.
All in all, the Motorola H17 is an excellent little headset and one to be recommended for its quality, its ease of use and its design. If you want to buy one, they are available at various online outlets and from the usual retailers.
